Does Your Vehicle Have A Sticking Parking Brake?
If you have a sticking parking brake, it's usually caused by the cable binding with another component or the cable has corroded to the point of "freezing" in its casing.
Caused by: Parking brake cable binding on another component.
Solution: Check cables for cause of binding. 
Caused by: Cable corroded within it's casing.
Solution: Replace appropriate cable (consider replacing both at the same time). 
Caused by: Improper installation or adjustment of parking brake mechanism or cables.
Solution: Check for proper installation and adjustment of parking brake components. 
Caused by: Malfunctioning rear calipers.
Solution: Check rear brakes for proper operation of sliding calipers. 
Caused by: Drum adjuster improperly adjusted.
